Universal Healthcare vs Responsibility in America
Where is Health Care in America heading?
During the past few years we have heard many people talking about Universal Healthcare and how this would serve everyone pick up the medical care they need. In the coming months with elections drawing arrive we will hear politicians talk about it more and more.
What does it mean to have Universal Healthcare?
For the respond to that we should survey at a few of the countries that have effect this system in space. Canada and Europe have been providing healthcare for their residents for over 30 years now and both countries are beginning to feel the financial strain on the countries’ economies and the tax-paying citizens.
In 2005, the Supreme Court in Canada voted to allow for private insurance in Quebec because their healthcare system is failing to provide adequate care. They have a waiting list in hospitals and for doctors and many Canadians arrive to the United States to acquire the healthcare they need. This does not sound, to me at least, like a genuine healthcare model for the United States to follow.
In Europe, they are cutting benefits, while the costs of healthcare are rising — due mainly to their citizens not realizing the cost enthusiastic in the care they are requesting.
I, as many of my colleges, feel that the best device to reform healthcare in America is to increase public awareness and beget the consumer buy responsibility in learning for what and where their money is going. One example of the consumer NOT taking responsibility is in this brief sage that I am going to allege you.
A very enlightening experience:
While I was out visiting clients one day about 2 years ago, I took time out for lunch and went to a local restaurant. While I was sitting in the dining room eating lunch, I overheard a conversation that really upset me. There were two ladies there having lunch also, and one of them said to the other that her husband had a small scratch on his hand. The other lady asked if it was unpleasant, and the first lady said “No, but I told him to go to the doctor anyway since it only cost $20.”
The overlooked factors:
Many people recognize at the cost of going to the doctor only as the amount of their co-pay and never assume about the realistic costs. It is the consumer who uses the product or service who should remove the time to learn what they are purchasing. In the above memoir, the first lady never considered that the more she paid her $20 to visit the doctor, the more the insurance company had to pay to contain in the rest of the costs. The result of that can be increased insurance premiums for everyone, including her family, for the next year and for many years after. It is those people who are guilty of over-utilization of their health insurance benefits, who wound the ones who consume it only when it is really famous.
The noble Ol’ Days…
wait on in the day, don’t you fair care for that term “support in the day”, before HMO’s & PPO’s, people would go to the doctor, pay the costs and then submit the claim to the insurance company for reimbursement. Then, they knew the trusty costs of healthcare, prescription drugs and specialized medicine. The cost for medical insurance was reasonable and almost every employer could afford to succor their employees with some benefits and many paid all of the insurance costs.
Meanwhile, succor to reality…
Today we are improper and do not know the dependable costs of healthcare, which includes the fragment the insurance companies pay. Also, if the insurance company does not shroud something then the consumer gets furious at the insurance company when it is the consumer who should know what all the costs are in the first set!
We also hear about how employers should be forced to provide medical insurance for their employees, but with the rising costs, even some of the largest employers cannot afford it. I have noticed in the years that I have been in the insurance business that many employees do not know how worthy the company pays toward their insurance coverage. They only know that they have to pay too much– once again, the need to know the costs alive to there, also.
In summary:
I know this sounds like I am all for the “substantial abominable Insurance companies”, but I am not. I am for the consumer taking some responsibility in luminous what the costs are and using that knowledge to aid with the healthcare crisis in America. You need to ask yourself, before our politicians capture away our apt to have a say so in our healthcare, “How can I be more responsible? “ Regardless of what you mediate about the condition of our Healthcare System today, if “those politicians” lead us down the road to socialized medicine–That will be the sincere CATASTROPHE.
The Future of Health Care in America
You didn’t really contemplate that I could resist weighing in on this health care debacle, did you? With my 35-plus year background in the insurance business, I judge I can bring some original perspective to the table.
I don’t know for certain what is in the bill. No one does. But from what I read all over the Internet, there are a few features that need early discussion.
The agenda hidden in uninteresting sight
The Bill is not about providing health insurance coverage for the 32-40 million ESTIMATED Americans without health insurance. It’s about a government takeover of a giant part of this nation’s economy, and fascism.
How do I know for determined?
Well, let’s exhaust the uncouth kill of the estimates, 32 million. I’m only using that because the government always lies, and the fair number is probably a lot lower. And let’s say that the annual premium for the best health insurance policy you can hold is $5,000 per year per person regardless of age. Then do the math. 32 million uninsured people times a $5,000 annual premium per person is only $160 Billion.
Congress and President Obama could have bought every uninsured person in America a deluxe insurance concept for only $160 Billion. But that’s not what they did.
This bill is estimated to cost over 900 Billion dollars…and they ALWAYS underestimate on the indecent side.
So, as I said, this ain’t about insuring the uninsured.
But it IS about demographics.
Demographics and Two Major Players
The health care providers didn’t fight this bill. That’s because honest now there are a lot of uninsured people that exercise the hospital Emergency Room as a free clinic. But under the Bill, all of those people will either pay for coverage, or the Federal Government will pay for their coverage. The days of hospitals providing free health care to the bad and indigent will be gone. The health care providers gape the tidal wave of health care relieve money that will hit their shores. All they have to do is soak it up.
The health insurance industry didn’t fight this bill, either. That’s because they look 32 million people (questionable estimate) that aren’t paying premiums that will start buying insurance. And many of those people will rep the DC crowd to pay their premiums for them through “vulgar income” subsidies. In addition, the health insurance companies already have the trained staff to wait on DC roll out this health care law and administer it for the DC bureaucrats. More money for the insurers.
What pact did the expansive insurance companies perform with the devil?
The insurance industry has not fought this Bill. They have not customary their club in the closet. So, the logical conclusion is that the insurance industry has made a yet-to-be-discovered pact with the DC Devils to enrich themselves at the public’s expense.
All of the insurance companies domiciled in the USA have investment portfolios. fraction of their money is always invested in government securities. That means bonds and other debt instruments. These can be Federal, set or even municipal bonds. But they all believe a stout percentage of US securities.
Their bond holdings are sufficiently great that if they suddenly sold even a tiny fragment of the bonds, it would collapse the entire bond market. And with the volatility of the dollar, and the mind-boggling Federal debt that is constantly growing, the value of all government bonds is dropping like a stone.
The insurance companies know this. They already know that they could cause the bond market to meltdown any day that they began selling off government securities. The US Federal government would finally be proven to be bankrupt. So, in essence, they have created a government interference insurance policy for themselves that protects them from Washington’s meddling in their business. It’s the equivalent of the frail “club in the closet”…the weapon you bring out when it’s needed. And NOTHING prevents them from threatening DC with that club.
One of the features of the Bill is that pre-existing conditions will no longer be considered in underwriting a health insurance policy. In practice, this will mean that I could wait until my doctor diagnoses me with terminal cancer before I take an insurance policy. Then, I pay my copays and stick it to the insurance company.
Another feature is that there will be no lifetime cap on benefits. Underwriting and actuarial considerations are worthless when an insurance company cannot calculate the limits of their loss exposures. Insurance ceases to be insurance…a transfer of risk…when there ceases to be any risk. Under the Bill, health insurance becomes a healthcare welfare system.
No insurance company would ever agree to this…unless underwriting and actuarial decisions don’t matter anymore. That would only occur if there was some entity above the insurance company that was going to pay all the benefits. Guess who?
Health Care Rationing is Inevitable
Here’s the contrivance for Washington to screw up any economic activity:
1.Tax it
2.regulate supply and demand
3.impose designate controls
4.impose wage controls
5.impose limits on profits, or “windfall profits” taxes
The DC bunch is going to do this with health care. The health care industry will naturally shrink in size as many people realize that it makes no economic sense for them to continue in this path.
As the unique law unfolds, and the regulations initiate to affect doctors, the number of doctors will diminish. Some will retire early, some will switch to other careers, premed students will switch majors, and most doctors will honest announce “Nobody knows the inconvenience I’ve seen.”
Some doctors will opt out of the government benefits system and end treating anyone covered by the Bill. But that brings up another possible scenario. If the number of participating doctors drops, and rationing inevitably begins, I can scrutinize Washington stepping in and forcing doctors to treat Bill patients. deem about it. Doctors are licensed in every station. Congress could easily pass a original law that mandates all licensed doctors to bag Bill patients and Bill benefits…or no license for the doctor. What’s to discontinuance Congress from doing this? Nothing.
But some medical professionals will adapt and prosper.
Doctors are going to study as their incomes shrink. But some will mediate of ways to sprint the American healthcare system while unexcited practicing medicine.
That means an flee from America.
Canadians have been coming to American doctors and hospitals for decades to hasten the rationing in Canada. Now it’s America’s turn to hasten for the border.
Over the next ten years, thousand of doctors, nurses and other medical professionals will position up shop outside the USA. They will build clinics and surgical practices “honest across the border” with the most recent and advanced medical treatment facilities possible…free from Washington’s crushing burden of regulation.
inquire the offshore medical industry, or commonly called “Medical Tourism” to explode in Mexico, the Caribbean (and Cuba, once Castro dies) and Latin America, in places like Panama and Costa Rica. Read more about Medical Tourism at the link at the bottom of the page.
For example, the prestigious Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Global Health opened the Hospital Punta Pacifica in Panama City, Panama in 2006. It is the most advanced hospital in Panama and rivals any big American hospital. Medical tourism will be a tremendous cash cow for this facility as health care falls apart in America.
vast Pharma is Smiling
The pharmaceutical industry has entered in the Promised Land. They will negotiate their pricing with the government, and the government health care will promote and acquire their products. All stout Pharma has to do is continue paying bribe money to Congress.
The Swami Predicts…
1. Health care rationing nationwide
2. tag controls on everything related to medical treatment
3. Hundreds of hospitals finish their doors
4. Dozens of health insurance companies finish their doors
5. Thousands of doctors conclude practicing medicine in the US
6. Thousands of doctors and nurses become Federal employees
7. Pharmaceutical companies’ stock value soars
8. Mortality rates in America shuffle upward due to rationing
9. Hyperinflation must occur as DC monetizes debt with paper money
10. The US economy collapses and America enters a dismal Age
OR…
11. audacious states of the United States secede and the United States dissolves into the ashbin of history.
Which will YOU resolve?
Secession is the Hope for Mankind. Who will be first…and wisest?

Better Health in America
The following information is based on a lecture at Binghamton University on September 17th, 2009 by physician and nutrition expert Dr. Michael Greger. He has been published in several academic journals and is the author of two books titled, “Bird Flu: A Virus Of Our hold Hatching,” and, “Carbophobia: The Scary Truth About America’s Low-carb Craze.”
Over the past year Dr. Greger has paid discontinuance attention to novel findings in diet and nutrition and was kind enough to allotment some of these distinguished findings and insights with Binghamton students and faculty members. The theme of his talk was “Optimum Nutrition 2009,” and focuses on a switch towards a more plant-based diet for Americans.
1. AMERICANS catch TOO distinguished ANIMAL PROTEIN
One of Greger’s biggest critiques on the unique eating habits of Americans is that we eat too grand animal protein. Why is this a poor thing? Because an increase in animal protein intake correlates with higher cholesterol, higher blood pressure, and a greater risk of heart disease – one of the top killers in America next to cancer.
Over consumption of red meats like beef can have an especially detrimental attain on our cholesterol levels and overall health. One new peek showed that when pregnant women consumed more beef that it negatively affected the sexual development of males in the womb.
Solution: According to Dr. Greger, scientific evidence suggests that the healthiest scheme to eat is a vitamin-rich diet of whole plant foods. For optimum nutrition, Greger suggests that we include an array of whole grains, beans, nuts, seeds, fruit, and as many vegetables as you can eat, but also specifically dim greeny leafy vegetables, berries, and green (or white) tea.
One of the best reasons to switch to a plant foods diet is that most meals will be crude in calories (especially when compared to meals with animal meat), but at the same time more nutritious in vitamins and minerals. We eat less, but level-headed replenish our bodily functions and energize our bodies.
On a side mark, many may distress that a switch to a more plant-based diet may result in a lack of protein, but many nuts and vegetables provide plenty so that a dieter should not have to resort to protein supplements.
2. AMERICANS DON’T EAT THE legal VEGETABLES (IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CANCER)
Even when Americans do eat their veggies they unruffled aren’t making the best choices. Among the most common plants consumed in the west – tomatoes, lettuce, potatoes, and spinach – none of these are particularly pleasant at fighting cancer as other alternatives in eastern countries. Again, perhaps these eating habits shed some light on why cancer (and other medical illnesses) is growing so prevalent in the United States.
Solution: Vegetables that have shown to be better cancer fighters are cabbage, soy, ginger, and umbelliferous vegetables such as carrots, celery, cilantro, parsley and parsnip. The number one rated fighter against cancer was garlic.
3. AMERICANS TOO OFTEN decide CONVENIENCE OVER CONSCIOUS-EATING
It is far easier for a busy mother or college student to go to a mercurial food restaurant – or resort to some other convenient fatty food – than to prepare a healthy meal. This is allotment of a growing pickle. It isn’t that Americans don’t understand what constitutes superb eating, only that we have become complacent in continuing our unpleasant habits.
Solution: If we want to change our diet then we need to become more aware of how we decide our meals when we settle them. It requires our conscious disaster. Our diets already fluctuate subtly from week-to-week, but by shedding a greater awareness on what we eat as we eat it we can initiate to recall greater control over our diet, and hopefully go it in a more obvious direction.
What I call “conscious eating” includes looking into the nutritional facts of what we are lively on a day-to-day basis, making incremental changes over time, and maintaining the will to eat and live healthier.
4. critical MICRONUTRIENTS TO PAY ATTENTION TO
Dr. Greger also recommends these considerable micronutrients (some of whose needs can be fulfilled in our food and others which may require supplements) .
A. Vitamin B12 (at least 2000μg each week – ideally as a chewable, sublingual, or liquid supplement) .
B. Omega-3 Fatty Acids (250mg daily of algae-derived DHA) .
C. Vitamin D (most of which can be absorbed by the sun during summer months, but may require a 4,000 IU supplement during the winter) .
D. Calcium (most greens are rich in calcium except spinach, chard, and beet greens, recommended 600mg daily) .
E. Iodine (for those who don’t eat seaweed or iodized salt, a 150μg daily supplement should be sufficient) .
F. Iron (especially for menstruating women but men should check for an iron overload disease before any attempt to increase intake) .
G. Selenium (Northern Europeans may need to rob a supplement or eat about 20 Brazil nuts a month) .
FINAL WORDS ON HEALTHY EATING
Diets do not change overnight; they prefer time and sustained concern. This does not mean that changing one’s eating habits is an exhausting process, but that it is something that needs to be on your mind whenever you are planning to eat.
The core lesson of Dr. Greger’s lecture is that by switching from a dependency on animal protein to a more plant-based diet we can simultaneously tackle a wide variety of health issues that are linked to abominable eating habits. Optimally, Greger recommends we rid our diets of animal protein completely; but realistically, any change from less animal meat to more plant foods will probably have a obvious affect on our health.

A Remedy for the System
Imagine a originate of medicine that treats acute as well as chronic diseases, may be old on animals, does not have negative side effects or adverse reactions, and has no toxic chemical properties. In Western medicine, where musty drugs (both prescription and over-the-counter) prevail, the opinion is that a treatment that is great and yet gentle on the body is not altogether plausible. Fortunately, such an alternative does exist–in the mighty yet gentle treatments of homeopathic medicine.
Homeopathy is a system for treating and preventing disease in which exiguous amounts of a substance, that in spacious amounts causes disease symptoms, are given to healthy individuals to enhance the body’s natural defenses. Homeopathic remedies have been ragged for generations all over the world–in more than 80 different countries. With over 100,000 doctors using homeopathy in their daily practice and over 300 million patients using it in their daily lives, homeopathy is the important healing process for many.
Homeopathy has a long history of curing people and today is growing more approved even in Europe and South America. Yet until now this medicinal treatment has been relatively ignored by doctors in the United States.
According to the 2007 Shift relate article, “Health Care: A recent Model in Medicine” (Institute of Noetic Sciences, Petaluma, CA), over the past century medical care and insurance costs have escalated, millions of Americans have gone without health coverage, and iatrogenic (medically induced) illnesses have increased due to the economic pressures and work overload that medical professionals currently endure.
Now is the time for Americans to become familiar with economically efficient and impressively effective homeopathic medicine.
The great news is that the necessity for change in Western medicine is starting to be recognized and people are beginning to embrace alternatives. The Shift recount article says, “While there is enormous reason for anguish, this crisis is leading to breakthrough and transformation. Patients and professionals alike are demanding that the heart and soul of medicine be reinstated…Researchers and clinicians are attempting to understand better the nature of the mind-body healing system.” Perhaps Western medicine has had to approach a situation of crisis in order for Westerners to be able to more fully envision alternatives? Whatever the cause for awakening, homeopathic medicine is a welcome complement to the American wellness consciousness.
America’ Health Brokers and the Health Care Reform Act
President Barack Obama signed the bill for Health Care Reform on March 23, 2010. The bill will not only change the map Americans pay for health care, but also how they pay for insurance and employ America’s health brokers. There may be a lot of information that is unclear to the average American about the Health Care Reform Act, but there is one definite message: Everyone in the United States will have health insurance. It will mandate that nearly every citizen glean “minimal distinguished coverage” for both the individual as well as dependents thereof. They can either fetch employee insurance through the workplace or through other avenues that will be made available through America’s health brokers.
“Other” avenues
For those who are self-employed, unemployed or work for an employer who does not offer health insurance, they will be required, by the year 2014, to have some invent of healthcare. If not, there may be a tax penalty assessed. The proposal that is currently up for vote is a situation to spot exchange in which the government will succor in the setup. The exchange will be funded by the government to offer medical plans within each site. If the residence does not get the exchange, then the government has the apt to step in and commence one. Primarily, the exchange is a means to provide anyone who is not section of a tall corporation an affordable health concept. This includes businesses of less than 100 people, those who are self-employed, those who are unemployed or those who are retired but not yet eligible for Medicare. Many of America’s health brokers will offer plans, but the most effective ones will be group health insurance plans. This means that a number of individuals can band together and recall a health insurance understanding for less than that of an individual.
Who benefits the most?
At this point, it is estimated that nearly 25 million individuals will likely shop affordable health coverage through the exchange. It is estimated that nearly 80% of these individuals will be eligible for financial attend. The Health Care Reform Act will abet those who do not have healthcare plans, as well as those who are having a difficult time paying for their recent health insurance. Also, America’s health brokers will succor in the fact that many more Americans will be obtaining health coverage, and the contrast of the balance that cannot be afforded will be paid by the government.
Many different countries have been working with a socialized health care understanding for many years (France, England, Canada), and it has been a very successful means of providing healthcare notion to the entire populace. Every citizen is granted the opportunity to receive the treatment that is primary to live a fundamentally healthy life. It also relieves the stress that goes along with wondering how the health needs will be taken care of without an umbrella or assistance. Restructuring America’s health concept will not be an easy task, for there are many issues that need care and attention. There is not an ideal means of resolving an vow of such a gigantic scale, but the Health Care Reform Act is certainly a step in the correct direction in the terms of providing a health medical understanding for all Americans and allowing America’s health brokers to offer one.
Can America Afford Free Health Care?
Many folks in the United States want the government to provide health care universally to all citizens and they question the World Organizations to do this for the third world nations as well. Unfortunately, this is a astronomical cost and probably currently out of the realm of reality.
Can America Afford Free Health Care? We impartial cannot afford the costs of Universal Health Care at the exhibit rate or modern costs. So the costs have to reach down first, we must deal with the other issues too such a Social Security.
The 2042 fall expressionless date of the on-paper bankruptcy of Social Security also looms and in essence it is bankrupt now and needs increased pay-ins to maintain it going, as the first baby boomers have already started to retire.
Yanklevich and other thinking demographers along with the warnings of the last two Fed Chairmen and the fresh one, warn of this. Population Expansion as a factor of GDP equations are highly predictable at least based on theory. There might be a solution to this and if there is we had better obtain it.
Looking at Japan, negative growth, an aging Europe and the influx of immigrants that query services, do not yelp the language, we may have a spot with a social revolution of haves and have nots; France Riots, a foreshadowing of things to reach?
Well? The EU has problems too. The US comes next as our average population grows, retires and is not providing productivity or paying in but rather soaking up services for longer, due to their longer life expectancies.
This is an allege that must be addressed and we need a national discussion now. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled belief. The goal is simple; to abet you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
